Assignment 3

The images that I chose were the images that I was able to get a good version of a deep depth of field and a shallow depth of field. While editing the images it was clear which blur editing techniques I wanted to use. For the first one with the elevator, I wanted the number on the elevator to be the main focal point and I wanted everything else to be blurred out. I used the tilt-shift for it because the elevator doors and the number plate it straight this blurring technique I knew would best work. I used it vertically first because I wanted to focus on the up and down motions of the elevators. I then realized I wanted the focus to be just on the number so I used the tilt-shift horizontally, this did not make a difference as my image was a little darker. In the blue section underneath and above the number if there was more light on it the tilt shift blur effect I used horizontally would be more visible For the second image, I also knew that the iris/ lens blurring technique would be best because the circle shape that my headphones take would be best for it. I wanted it to be circular to fit the motion of the headphones.
