My group and I decided that we wanted to see what people's favorite genre was, but when we first came up with the question, "So what? We then added the second question about people's preferences for the decades they heard music from. We decided to ask this question because it does affect what genres they listen to. Rap and the 2010s were the most popular for both groups, which makes sense as rap gained more popularity in 2010 after its popularity in the 90s. These questions were asked to see if there was a correlation between music genre and preference over the decade people heard it, but from this study and the results my group and I received, we did not see a huge correlation but that people were more open to different music genres and did not have many preferences.
While creating this presentation, I wanted it to match the aesthetic of music, which is why I decided to use a pink, blue, and purple theme. Getting my information on a pie chart was difficult because usually when you put it on a Google Sheet, it goes straight down and across, but this was different. The part that I found most difficult was getting my pie chart to be a donut and making it 3D. Making it a donut was difficult because it was confusing to ungroup and then group, and the shape builder never got rid of the circle in the middle, so I had to manually take it off and delete it. It took many tries, but eventually, I was able to figure it out. I then wanted the presentation to have more colors and vibrancy to continue to match the aesthetic of the music. For the wording, I created two, and for the one in the back, I made it black so that it would create this shadow and make my words pop out. I then decided to have some fun and create stars and use the 3D effect to have more practice with it.
